Introduction
CORE: Journal of Coastal Architecture is published twice a year in February and August by the Department of Architecture, Bangka Belitung University. We accept research articles, mini-reviews, and short communications covering study of architecture and regional design, especially coastal areas, with a cross-disciplinary approach involving aspects of planning, aesthetics, space, and innovation in architectural design science in English or Indonesian. Articles published in this journal will not be published elsewhere, except for abstracts, teaching materials, or research reports.
AUTHOR'S DUTIES
Articles submitted by authors are research reports and reviews related to their expertise, and have been thoroughly reviewed. Published articles are described in detail so they can be replicated in other settings. If necessary, the Editor will request authors to submit the raw data. All citations made by the authors must be properly cited. Unpublished sources cannot be used as references. Acknowledgements to all parties involved or funders must be acknowledged or listed as contributors. Authors are strictly prohibited from plagiarizing the work of others. The use of hazardous chemicals must be communicated in the article, along with instructions for their use and handling. Any use of animal testing must be communicated as having received approval from the relevant authorities. If authors discover any errors in their writing after publication, they may contact the editor to discuss the matter.
EDITOR'S DUTIES
The editor is responsible for selecting articles for publication. In making decisions, editors must adhere to editorial board policies and consider legal aspects, prevailing ethics, copyright and plagiarism, without being constrained by differences of opinion among authors. Editors must maintain the confidentiality of articles, refrain from using them for personal gain, and seek the advice of other experts or expert groups if issues arise that cannot be resolved. If objections arise from interested parties, editors must promptly address these complaints, even if publication has been delayed.
REVIEWER'S DUTIES
Reviewers are individuals selected by the editor based on their expertise. A reviewer may decline an editor's request if they do not understand the article being reviewed or if it does not align with their expertise. Reviewers may provide comments about the article under review and assist the Editor in making decisions regarding the article under review. After receiving and correcting the article from the reviewer, the Editor is obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the document. Reviewers must record citations from the author (written and as references). In conducting the review, reviewers may not use the text for personal gain without the author's permission. Reviewers must treat the articles they have reviewed fairly.
